You don’t have to hit the gym to lose weight. In fact, if you follow these simple, everyday habits, you can lose weight gradually and become healthy with time.
If you haven’t exercised in a while, it is a great idea to start with walking. Start with brisk walking in the morning and don’t forget to buy some good walking shoes that’ll give you comfort and avoid foot injuries.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so never skip it even if you are dieting or planning to lose weight. Have light breakfast of eggs, bacon with a fruit.
Move During the Day
If you work in an office, this might become difficult. Still, as much as possible, move around and take stairs whenever possible. You can even install a calorie counting or movement tracking app on your phone and get reminders to move at preset time periods.
Drink Lots of Water
The human body is 70% of water and it is important to replenish water throughout the day. For losing weight, it is advisable to drink water throughout the day—not Vitamin water, but just plain water will do.
Avoid Unhealthy Snacks
Whenever you have an urge to snack on something, try nuts or berries or even a fruit that does not have calories that will get you back on to eating unhealthy habits. Nuts, berries and natural fruit has vitamins and minerals that are healthy and help suppress hunger.
If you are dieting or trying to lose weight, avoid having food late in the night. Ideally have your dinner before 7’o clock in the evening and may be a glass of warm milk to help you sleep better.
Try to avoid looking into your mobile phone or laptop screen before going to sleep. Mobile and laptop screens emit blue light which can cause sleeplessness and make getting up early difficult.
